At least you do still have a grapefruit knife, I haven't seen mine since my husband died 15 months ago. Just had a thought - maybe it is in the garage!

Knives in the drawer? Not in this house, somebody would lose a finger! My knives are kept sharp, and in a knife block. A butcher showed me how to sharpen knives.

I think blunt knives are dangerous, because you start hacking, and slip :-(

I'm starting to think I have house fairies that hide in the drawers and eat biscuits

:-D

I won't be doing a Bobbit :-D The man has his uses :-D <3 :-D

Funny you should mention bread crumbs in the cutlery drawer.

Ealier this week, i rather fancied scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast.

As i walked into the kitchen, i saw My Man Bexley (You know, i'm oo does for me) cut a slice of bread for my toast and immediately return the bread knife to the cutlery drawer!!!

:-0 :-0 :-0
A florin will be deducted from his wages at the end of the month!!

Scozz - I have been perplexed all my married life as to, like you, the cutlery drawer gets crumbs etc., (only clean cutlery goes in and out) and why does the wardrobe get so dusty - doors are always closed except for putting clean clothes in and out. :-S

Grrrr, why do they do that? Never ask first, like what's this knife for or why is this bent or even how did it get bent?

Can really understand where you are coming from lol

Cleaning out the cutlery drawer.

I'm at the sink, OH came in......and was fiddling with something at the counter..

Me: What are you doing?

Him: Straightening this knife.

Me: What knife?

Him: This little bent one... how did it get into this shape?

Me: ??? Huh????

Bent knife? My trusty "grapefruit" knife. Had it for 30 years (longer than I've had Him).

I now have a small straight serrated (on both sides) knife.

Rarely used it for grapefruit, it USED TO BE wonderful for getting the insides out of lemons, limes & tomatoes.

Wondering if it's any good for cutting off things?

I'm having evil thoughts of other things I can cut with it :-D

PS ~ Why does my cutlery drawer get crumbs in it? It's on the other side of the kitchen to where I prepare food!! :-(
