I think he should take heed of the wishes of the linhabitants. Last week all but three people voted yes to the question posed on the ballots: "Do you wish the Falkland Islands to retain their current political status as an overseas territory of the United Kingdom the turnout was 92% from an electorate of 1,650. |

We all need to be skilled in the arts of compromise & diplomacy. I suspect Pope Francis will preach the Gospel by good example & will only use words if needed. |

I also think he need to concentrate his efforts on rooting out all the distasteful things that are going on in his church. |

I should think the Pope would have more of his own business on hand at the moment instead of fueling another bitter row over an Island, the Pope needs to remember that only 33 years ago a vicious nasty conflict was faught and won by the british and many of Bristish and Argentine lads either lost their lives or still carry the mental and physical scares till this day. |

Well before the mid 1500s I'm sure the Pope intervening would've been a big deal...as it stands now .......his intervention is irrelevant.......so he'd be best advised to keep stum. |

I am sure the Pope should concentrate on his religious duties and not get involved in politics, whatever he believes personally about the falklands. |

I wonder, IF the Pope was to interfere, (sorry intervene). and then told Argentina to but out and leave a peaceful community to run its own affairs in the way they see fit, Would they take any notice? |

it has nothing to do with the Pope - any Pope - he's got far more serious things to deal with |
