Hopefully I will be there with Mr Daff - haven't heard from him yet - now what would you like me to bring - I have a stack of Good Housekeeping magazines - would you like me to bring them?

Thank you lovely people :-D Just had confirmation there is a bed for me, knees are knocking :-(

Tomorrow is final tests, discussion with surgeon and his team and of course the anaesthetist. They gave me a list of available options/combinations just like a pick 'n mix menu ;-) At the moment my choice is epidural, pain block and light sedation. If the noise of drilling, sawing and hammering is too much for my ipod it will be more sedation...lolol

Then I have to plead not to be put on a ripple mattress because of my spinal probs and tell the nurses if I ask for a catheter it's not for fun it's because I cannot pee uphill!!!!

Theatre on Thursday and I hope I am not too far down the list as the op will be between 5 and 8 hours long

My goal is to escape on day 8 :-D

I expect Ann will keep you updated. Thank you again you wonderful people.
