Thanks all, yes I am a quivering bleedin' wreck, by next week I shall resemble a rather large jelly :-(

Just how do they saw through your thigh bone and wire it back together so you can stand on it?

I'm considering asking for more sedative to go with the epidural..lolol I can cope with the sawing and hammering (had that before) but if I caught a glimpse of them waving half my leg about I think that would be a little too much even for me.

Thanks girls :-D I have my picker upper here. I have to wash and bring back the satin bottom sheet ready for being discharged.

The only way I can get into the bed initially is to wear satin PJ bottoms and slide across the bed... that's what I did last time.

I brought the amazing leg lift assist back which the OT from Caerphilly CC gave me on her visit.

Should they offer me another 'sock aid' they can shove that ;-)

I have two crutches here so I have to practise getting around with those to make sure nothing is in the way. Furniture can be moved around temporarily. I have my own over the bed hospital thingy and the sofa is on risers anyway.

Going to buy a heap of face cloths to use as hand towels so nurses each get a clean one and they are easy to boil wash and dry.

As things come to mind I have to write them down or else they drop out of my brain very quickly....lolol

Anyway, thanks again.

Sue (quivering with nerves at the coast)
