Usually a NOK as you put,,,,,but if there was no known or close family then anyone who could be notified should you not return if sent overseas I would imagine.

Hello All

I'm wondering if anyone has any info on this - when a person 'signed up' for military service in WW1, they are reqd to give a next-of-kin name and address, but instead of a family member, could this simply be the name of your employer?
Was there anything in the rules to say it had to be a family member?
