HELP!!!!!!!

Giving this a nudge ~ please read my message added 7 April.

:-( :-( :-(

I'm having problems

:-(

I can "open" (haha) the tree, the first blue line appears, but the second (downloading relations?) doesn't do anything, all I get is the circle going round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round ~

I've tried three times to view someone's tree, gave up after twenty minutes watching the circle go round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round............

You get the idea.

Am I the only one?

Yes, I've sent a contact message, asking for a REAL ANSWER.

I've had a response from GR.

They are looking at it. :-(

I tried to look at that tree again this morning.

Clicked on it at 8.20am.......... went away.........

Came back at 10.00am, and the circle is still going round and round and round

:-P

Just loaded another members tree with 35,000 names in it (always a good test....!) and it worked fine. Took less than five seconds.

I'm still waiting........... and the tree I want to view has over 20,000 names on it.

This is the response I received (copied & pasted, any typos are NOT mine)

Dear C........,

Thanks for getting in touch, and I'm sorry to hear of the problem you're having viewing X's tree. I'm afraid we're unable to replicate this particular issue - X's tree loads for us, so it's possible it's a compatibility problem between your browser (IE8- if I remember correctly) and the website. I alsio remember from your screen shots you sent me a while ago you had some add-ons on your browser which we've seen can also cause issues with stopping pop ups loading on the site. Also high security levels on browsers can also affect the site so if you could ensure your security is set to medium, this might help.

As recommended previously, we'd suggest upgrading to IE9.

:-(

I can't upgrade to IE9 (or IE10 as now recommended on MY home page), because I have an older computer that won't accept it.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials.

I don't have a problem with ANY OTHER website.

Not much point in renewing my GR membership is there?

:-P

Giving this a nudge.

I'd like to know what others think of this.
