NCIS or CSI?

I don't know what I'd watch half the time without these two shows.

Gibbs or Mac Taylor?...most interesting character?
If you've watched the new CSI do you think Ted Danson is a patch on 'Grissom'' ?

Would you like to have done that kind of job? :-D

( trivial thread of the day, not contentious ;-) )

As much as I loved Grissom, I did not like the guy brought in series before last.

I think Ted Danson brings something new to the show.

Me I love

NCIS, CSI & CSI New York, and could not consider any better than the other

However, CSI Miami was a joke, terrible acting no wonder it was cancelled.

Gibbs is just too gorgeous.....

They are both totally, ridiculously unrealistic, but very watchable :-D. I don't really get into it enough to know who's who, but I cannot stand the woman with black pigtails (Abby??) She would go straight into Room 101!

Love Abbi and all the NCIS crew.

I think Ted is doing a good job, better than when Marg was in charge.

that'll be Gibbs then Gwynne? lolol

PP I don't know about Ted Danson, he just seems a bit too old? but I have only watched a couple with him in so maybe he grows on you :-)

lol Sheila,I like Abby she reminds me of someone I used to know :-)

funny really, full circle tv wise for me as David McCallum 'Ducky' in NCIS was my first 'crush' when he was Illya Kuryakin in 'The man from U.N.C.L.E'.

I am now finding after 10 series that Abby who was quite cute to start with is now getting on my nerves.

She is in her mid 30's not a child and ....... oh I could go on but will not.

I can put up with quirky and eccentric.

And RR me too my first crush as well...

When it first started I was able to accept that the FORENSICS procedures were Viable but as time went on it got more cops n robbers, and I dislike the cops attitude where they assume someone did something, use flashbacks to visualise it and browbeat the poor (often innocent) suspect into a confession............

and it is often too obvious that the situations ARE contrived instead of being remotely possible in real life.........

ADDED

But thats what makes the show, I guess.......... ;-)

Definitely Gibbs – it’s his quirky smile as much as anything.
We enjoy Abba’s character, but were only saying the other day that she is getting a bit long in the tooth to play the eccentric heart-on-sleeve Goth.

David McCallum is doing very well for his age, isn’t he? :-D

Another ‘silver fox’ was Colonel Jack O’Neil from Stargate-SG1. Apparently the actor Richard Dean Anderson played the roll of MacGyver, not that I can remember watching that.

Edit - Mac Taylor seems too wooden to me. It makes me think that he has a back problem

Added - the situations may be contrived, but its the interaction of the characters which makes the shows enjoyable.

Could I do such a job? No - in real life not a good enough background in science and too quick to believe what someone says.

Saw 'Gibbs' in a cowboy film yesterday where he played a violent, ruthless and brutal baddie......... :-(

I'll just think of him in NCIS instead...... :-D
