I don't need a coat of fur just woolly socks will do
But if this isn't possible I'll settle for lamb stew

...off to bed now so goodnight all :-)

EDIT Very good Rose we posted at the same time.

A coat, some socks, a woolly fleece
What else is on this list?
If such demands are made of me
I'll go out and get ...

a tasty pint at that rather nice pub with the beautiful beer garden overlooking the canal just down the road from me.

To me this sounds the best bet so far :-)

eRRolSheep Report 13 Apr 2013 14:37

Dear Tenerife I must just ask
And please don't find me rude
But was your day, a birthday one
To be enjoyed and gude

Tenerife Sun

Tenerife Sun Report 13 Apr 2013 15:17

.... and gude????

On Wednesday I will add a year and that makes twenty one.
I may have lied a little there, I blame it on the sun :-D

Edit...just Googled gude

Definition of GUDE

Scottish variant of good also means god

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 13 Apr 2013 15:24

ok so it was a desperate rhyme

Your age is not the subject here
And I shall not reveal
The fact that you are 96
Oh yes my lips are sealed

Tenerife Sun

Tenerife Sun Report 13 Apr 2013 15:44

UUUmmmh 96, this calls for desperate measures.........or a little retaliation

Dear Errol that's so kind of you to mark my passing years
but if you don't retract that fact your day will end in tears
I have a saucepan boiling with veg and herbs - no meat
just need to add a little lamb to make a birthday treat.

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 13 Apr 2013 15:51

I shall retract my ageist note
For age will never matter
But may I beg you serve my head
Not placed upon a platter

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 13 Apr 2013 18:17

I feel the romance is floundering a bit now :-D

Tenerife Sun

Tenerife Sun Report 13 Apr 2013 18:18

I agree but as I have had a lot better weekends than this in the past it gives me something to do

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 13 Apr 2013 18:22

The romance as you rightly say
May sometimes hit a flounder
But time will tell that come what may
I never am a bounder

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 13 Apr 2013 18:26

Forgot to add about the times I would have liked to have my hubbys head
on a plate LOL

:-D

Tenerife Sun

Tenerife Sun Report 13 Apr 2013 18:41

So tell us Barb what came to pass but do so all in verse
Lamb stew, boiled head or sheeps hooves I can't think which is worse

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 13 Apr 2013 19:00

Whats come to pass Dear Tenerife
Is beef is off my palate
So if you can hold that old ram down
I'll go and fetch my mallet

Sorry sorry I dont mean a word of it :-D :-D

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 13 Apr 2013 19:08

Your barb-ed words do sound to me
As if they are not nice
A mallet tis a cru-el way
To end this fellow's life

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 13 Apr 2013 19:20

You know I didnt mean it Bro
I couldnt be so nasty
I will stop it now
And sit and eat my pasty :-D

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 13 Apr 2013 19:31

Your pastie sounds a tasty dish
I used to love my mum's
But when you finish scoffing it
Please sweep away the crumbs

Tenerife Sun

I think this thread has run its corse and touched on romance lightly

So let's let Errol of the hook while he's still young and sprighytly :-D
