I just looked in the freezer.

No coffee icecream. No Boysenberry icecream. :-(

There's some vanilla, but there's a layer of ice on the top of it :-(

To cheer myself up I changed my avatar :-D

Edit: 1st May ~ changed my avatar again......... see my thread about face cream :-D

Dear Rambles

Hello

I'd say mint ice-cream or if none available, good old fashioned
vanilla.

It goes with apple pie, strawberries...........lovely!

Take gentle care
Best wishes

A local dairy farm now produces ice-cream and they make sea-buckthorn flavour but I don't know what it tastes like.

It sells out before I get time to buy any.

Sidolis in Ebbw Vale make a lovely Turkish delight flavoured ice-cream.

I had some wonderful, very dark chocolate ice cream last week in France, together with some very coconutty ice cteam - a gorgeous combination.
The most unusual flavour I've tried was liquorice, and it was amazingly good.
The only flavour I can't get on with is mint - it reminds me of toothpaste!

I've just had another one.
Iceland's own cheap version of a Cornetto.
It was mint chocolate chip flavour and it was rather nice.

Off to the pub quiz now!

I was shopping this afternoon and looked at the different flavours of icecream in the freezer. I found some liccorice ice cream, never had it before, so I bought some, even though it is a bit expensive. I have just finished off my dinner with half the tub (500gm in the tub). I love liccorice, and it is apparently addictive. I am now fighting the urge to finish it off :-0 :-|

*hops in to Huia's kitchen. I have come to save you from yourself and as I love liquorice and have never tasted the ice cream, I thought I would help you out. :-D Now be a good girl and let go of that tub <3

Not strictly ice cream but lemon sorbet yum!

JustJohn Report 1 May 2013 08:57

Lemon or mango sorbet. Yummm! There is only one place to go for ice cream in Wales - Mr Creamy in Penygraig in Rhondda. Far better than these expensive foreign things :-)

I am puzzled by New Forest coconut, George. I don't want to state the obvious, and have not visited New Milton since climate change, but........ :-S :-S :-S

Has to be Rum and Raisin.

There used to be a little shop on the front at Neston, Wirral that sold more Ice cream varieties you could ever dream of. Wonder if it is still there?

I fancy tryng licorice flavour too.
My freezer contains quite a few ice cream lollies but my absolute favourite is soft style frozen yoghurt.
I'm getting excited now... going to Nando's on Friday and I always order their bottomless one!

In the Welsh seaside town of Tywyn on the Cardigan Bay coast there is a shop that specialises in honey ice cream - delicious, and practically under seige in the holiday season.
Well worth a visit.

If you ever visit the De La Warr pavilion in Bexhill try Di Paolo's opposite, the family have been making ice cream since my dad's childhood in Hastings(then De Marco's) much more enjoyable than the arty farty De La Warr!
