wondered how they were going to get back lost tax on cigarettes - if everyone gave up smoking the government would lose a shedload of tax - I worked for a tobacco company for many years and at the time a pack of 20 was around 3/6 of which the manufacturer got 6d. I would imagine the same ratio exists today

For the past 30 years I have been a heavy smoker, on average 50 to 60 a day :-(

About six weeks ago I decided to try these e-cigarettes and over the last six weeks I have cut my smoking of ordinary cigarettes down from 50 to 60 a day to about 5 a day and I am aiming to cut out ordinary cigarettes completely by the end of this month :-)

Once again the government is treating us like idiots, they are the ones who are stupid if they think we cannot see what they are up to, this move to regulate e-cigarettes is nothing but a conspiracy between the MHRA which is a government agency, and the Treasury which will lead to e-cigarettes being subject to the same level of duty as ordinary cigarettes, as the government is running scared about the amount of revenue they will lose as more and more people move from ordinary cigarettes to e-cigarettes ;-)

Thieving hypocritical rogues is what they are :-|

MHRA = Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency
