Watched Simon King half an hour ago.

Great guy, but when he said, "go out into the country and see and listen for yourself just how wonderful nature is," I laughed like a drain.

Idiotic and totally inept background music was playing !

Why O Why do TV producers do this? It does not enhance the programme, it detracts from it.

I have given up watching country file for this very reason.

I'm with you on that Staffy! It's not just the unnecessary music either, I'd rather see the wildlife that is being talked about than have the screened hogged by presenters :-|

I did give Springwatch a try last night. Lasted 15 minutes before the loud background "music?" became so overpowering that I switched off.

Oh for the days of Bill Oddie, Kate Humble, Simon King and a producer who realised that watching wildlife in situ did not require intrusive electronic "music".

Bye bye Spring (and autumn) watch for good.

Lucky you Prickles :-D
I was wondering yesterday who would want to be indoors looking at webcams instead of enjoying the lovely weather........Hey Voila! it's raining today! every cloud and all that :-D :-D

Staffy, yes, there was some dire 'music' but I don't think we can blame the presenters - unless they are also the producers :-(
I'm afraid I couldn't bear Bill Oddie and Kate Humble.

I'm off to check out the webcams :-D

I did say that it was the producer who was responsible.
