Speaking of salads a number of years ago a cousin and wife came to visit my Mum who was staying with us and I put on a salad for lunch , cooked a lovely roast the night before to have it cold ...really tasted nice, pinched a bit ... anyway had our meal and a lovely afternoon waved them off when they left, came in to start tidying up ...opened the fridge and there was the roast still on the plate all we had had was salad ...how embarrassing I never got over that. :-| |
