Ann - when you get to the Grosvernor Roundabout by the racecourse, instead of taking the second exit take the first so that you are on the ringroad.
At the next roundabout (Fountains Roundabout) take the first exit but stay in the right hand lane because you will double back on yourself. Basically, you sort of drive round the pub and head back towards the roundabout - you'll see what I mean when you see it.
Just before you get back to the roundabout there is a little road on your left (by Hemsley Solicitors - black and white building not that that narrows it down in Chester lol) called Mason Street.
It is a dead end with free on-road parking.
To get into the city centre just go through the underpass at the roundabout and it brings you out on Northgate Street which is the one with the cathedral on it.
Take a look on Google maps and you will see how easy it is to find.
Hope it is useful.

I know where you mean - sort of by Habitat.

I know a few places where it can be possible to park for free all day. Although some are a bit of a walk my favourite is literally a couple of minutes or so from the centre.

Free!!!!!!! In Chester :-0

Pepper Row.....say coming from Wrexham....over the racecourse bridge at roundabout take 2nd exit into city through next lights and PR is on your left with escalator to take you up to indoor shopping area, indoor parking a few yards further same side.

Next time you go Ann I'll tell you my secret free parking space.

Where is Pepper Row?

**Ann**

**Ann** Report 8 Jul 2013 17:33

Hello Errol,

I bought a Wild Salmon & Cucumber Sarnie and ate it in the park followed by an ice cream from the kiosk :-D

I parked in Pepper Row so yes I walked through the park back along the river which was very busy to my car. I enjoyed the peace and quiet without the little Darlinks asking 20 questions both at the same time :-D
