Well done to all those who got results today

My daughter 14 took GCSE maths 2 years early & got a B today, a level higher than her predicted C.

Her smile lit up the room when she came home :-D

Very well done to our youngest Grandson who got the following results.

English Lang B

English Lit B

Mathematics A

History A*

Spanish A*

Music C

Biology A

Physics A

Chemistry B

Psychology B

and well done to all those who got the best results for the level of their ability. If they did their best it is all we can ask.

Phyll, time for your Grandson to make up for his results if he goes to sixth form college. He should be able to get advice on what to do.

My very lovely grandson hasn't done at all well. But a lot of the blame must go to the rotten school he went to. Bumming him up, saying he is sure to get this that and the other, when we all knew he wouldn't. so, OK maybe he rested on his laurels a bit.
Anyway I wish him all the luck in whatever he is going to do now - such a lovely boy it's a shame.
Phyll

My husband always told our kids 'passing an exam is an accident that can happen to anyone'. It's what you do with it that counts.

I hope all those who sat their exams are rewarded for all the hard work and effort that they put into their preparations and that they get the results they wanted, I also hope that all the tinkering and moving of the goal posts - will not leave to many disappointed.
