I do remember Mike and Bernie and their stand up comedy routines.

Bernie was the funny one. I always think of Mike as being like Ernie Wise, he was the foil to Bernie and they were certainly good together and I cannot remember Mike doing much after Bernie went out on his own.

Good looking man, always looked incredible for his age, quite a shy and retiring person for show business and I am not at all surprised that Hayley outshone him in one of her first starring roles :-) ;-)

Although I wasn't a fan either I would have loved to have seen your performance Hayley. Your claim to fame indeed :-D X

I saw these in Panto when I was just 3yrs old, went with my Dads works, had front row seats, I remember Mike jumped off the stage and ran along the front rows pretending to stab children with a plastic sword, he did so to my sister I stood up and burst in to tears heartbroken, Mike ran back to us hearing my wails and Bernie jumped off stage, both tried to comfort me I was having none of it. Later in the show they got up kids from the audience and I was one, I was the last one on stage and kept glaring at Mike, ( I got more laughs then him and he said so ) I came off stage they kept shouting me back and giving me more pressies so I couldnt see where I was going and I was helped off stage by the most prettiest dancers I have ever seen. My claim to fame :-D

I remember them, they had a St Bernard dog, didn't they? Scnorbitz or something it was called.

Comedian Mike Winters dies at 82

Mike and Bernie Winters became British household names in the 1950s
Mike Winters, who became a household name in a comedy double-act with his brother Bernie, has died in Gloucestershire aged 82.

Sadly he did fall out with his brother although they did make up again but never performed together after that

Bernie died in 1991
