I always donate online every year, but do not wear a poppy. My donation is far more than £1.00 and is not missed by me or my bank account. |

I bought an everlasting one - a beautiful brooch made by the Buckley jewellery company - mine came from QVC and cost about £20, a large portion of which went to the British Legion - QVC have several of these poppies at differing prices - also they are sold in M & S for £15 - Buckley have donated thousands to the British Legion this way - well worth thinking about |

Hello Shy, good to see you, yes it can be embarrassing when they get lost. But I don't re-buy. I know I have bought one, bit more difficult if you go to the service though where you are known, in which case Liz's idea is a good one. |

I think the idea is to donate, not to buy. Just because you are not advertising the fact doesn't mean you haven't donated generously. |

I buy the little enamelled metal one's - the falling apart is then not a problem :-) |

I haven't been anywhere to get one yet but will do so tomorrow. It is annoying when they fall off, why not buy one and keep it in your pocket or bag and when people ask where your's is say Oh it's here I forgot to put it on, and produce it from your pocket /bag. |

That is very good news. <3. Ours are usually quite tough but this years offering are terrible |

Ours are made of fuzzy plastic type stuff. so no danger of falling apart. I'll send you one. You can save it and use it next year. |

Hi stranger, hope you are well. I have just been grumbling about poppies this evening. I have found this year that you only need to brush against them and they fall to pieces. :-| |

Will someone explain to me why I keep buying a poppy? Yes, I know the real reason, but when it keeps falling off, is there really a reason. When I go to the Nov 11 thingy in town, friends ask "where's your poppy?" I could say 1. Oh I lost it 2. I left it at home or 3. I did buy 3 and if you find any of them, please let me know. |
