As a child, I was told a little story about the origins on the Red Poppy., highly unlikely to be true

The poppys which grew in Flanders used to be white. Because of the spilled blood, the next time they grew they were red.

What ever the origins of this 'myth' it makes you think

Apparently the poppy is viewed as a clock.............and the leaf is supposed to point to 11 oclock

I always supported and wore MY Poppy with pride and for the remembrance of those that gave us their lives and sacrifices,


the fashion part never entered My head........
