Hope you get your test results Merlin, and that everything is O.K. (I'm with Talk Talk
:-(

I'm amazed that it's going to take so long Mersey. When thieves stole a lot of cables here, thousand of people were without phone and broadband, but I'm sure it was sorted within a couple of days.

CT, sorry about your car.... and your roof

And Wend, sorry about your roof too.

Not a good time for many people.

Mersey hope it is done before their estimate. :-(

Hello Fly!

Sorry Ann, I didn't mean to ignore your OH's plight, I just couldn't think of any slop meals ideas. When my daughter used to have her brace adjusted she was on that sort of food, but only for a couple of days at a time. I hope the anti-biotics have started kicking in.

... back to Fly. How are you?

Fly

Fly Report 13 Feb 2014 16:06

He has only had one so far CT so no he is no better. He even struggled with soup lunch time, has to eat with a small spoon as he can't open his mouth wide. It is very quiet here!!!

It could be much worse Fly, at least nobody was hurt, at least I'm not flooded.

Looks like car will be written off, but won't know until next week. In the meantime I'm not covered for a courtesy car.

Some good news - I'd paid a £10 deposit on a restaurant deal which ends tonight, I've just phoned to cancel and learned that the deal has been extended until the end of February

:-D

Paula there isn't much he doesn't like by lasagne is one of them. I shall make fish pie tonight and he will make himself eat it using a small spoon. It is painful to watch him swallow, I imagine it is like when you have mumps. It is not his throat or the tooth socket that hurts it is the gland. I know what he means from having swollen glands with a cold sometimes, the gland sort of 'puuls'. He is also not used to being ill. :-( :-(

AnninGlos Report 13 Feb 2014 17:26

Fly, he hasn't got a sore throat the gland hurts because of the infection it is very swollen. I don't think the pain will ease until the infection is cured. :-(

Fish Pie sounds great to me, perhaps some ice cream for afters. It's horrible when you can't swallow your food.

Hi Paula, AnninGlos, Belle and Fly :-) <3

Fly, yes picked him up Ok, it turned out that the next door neighbour reversed into David's car whilst she was parking and smashed his headlight, and he didn't want to drive over to mine with a damaged light,
Everything was sorted out today, eventually :-)
