Marilyn joined Genes about 8 years ago and she spent a lot of time on these boards…… until she started being ill about a year ago.

After being in and out of hospital with various problems she found out that cancer was at the root of all the problems.

The last 6 months have been very hard for her as she bravely suffered a lot of pain. Operations and chemo seemed to help at first but she just couldn’t fight any longer. Our lovely Marilyn lost her battle for life yesterday morning with all her family around her bed. Her husband said it was a peaceful passing.

My heart goes out to her devoted husband, Pete, and all of their family.

Rest in Peace, Marilyn, you’ll be greatly missed by all of us who loved you.
