Out of touch with family

I left home at am early age and after my parents died lost touch with other family members. I'm a new member on this site and would appreciate any ideas, tips on how to best proceed to get back in touch with family members. Any suggestions that you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there Eileen - couple of things you can do

First of all use "Search" top right hand corner of this page to see if any of your relatives feature in any trees on this site - if you strike lucky you can contact the tree owner through this site

Secondly, you can post on "Find Living Ancestors" making sure you don't give away any really personal details - just names, location and time scale

Then there's Friends Reunited - if you know which schools any of them attended you can search for that particular school

I know nothing about Facebook, but that's another option

Ann... Facebook has a search box for "People ,Places and Things".

Not all use their real name though... I have 4 accounts on facebook all different names ( No wot ah mean `arry) he,he,he. :-D :-D :-D
