I think I will stay in Geordieland - I don't think I would get a welcome in the hillside if I moved there. :-D :-D :-D ;-) ;-) ;-)

I'm Hampshire/Suffolk/Cornish back for many years.
Possible Dutch influence in Norfolk area in 16th century - draining the Fenns.
Apart from that, English (not many of us about)

I live in Carmarthenshire, South Wales on the Coast.

Maggie- My father's family originate from the Haverfordwest area of Pembrokeshire. My Grandparents moved to Carmarthenshire in the late 1920s.

Hi Newby,
The difference (according to my elder sister who went to school in both areas) is that in Haverfordwest, lessons were taught in English, in St Davids, they were taught in Welsh - and I'm talking about over 50 years ago. Hence, though I didn't go to school there, I can count to 5 in Welsh - my sister loved playing 'schools' with me as the 'victim'.

South Wales is good but will you miss your friends? Having moved so often ourselves and ended up practically Billie no mates it is a thing worth considering.
