Wow that lightening, lit up the whole room.

Naturally, I thought the papps were camped outside my door again, flashing away, I combed my hair, and gave them my brightest smile!

:-D :-D

We used to be able to hear the gunnery practice in Portsmouth and I was reliably informed that that was sailors throwing their cheese in the cupboard.

Having had seven years of utter dread of having a power cut (air mattress, electric hoist, profiling hospital bed etc.) I LOVE THUNDERSTORMS.

Power cuts? Bring 'em on!

Started here around midnight and went on for about an hour - amazing electric storm and torrential rain at its height.

Dermot, thunder is caused by God moving his furniture.
Lightning happens when he stubs his toe :-P

I concluded that God is a bit clumsy. :-)

Thunder is caused by God when he is breaking up some big boulders with a mighty sledge-hammer. The sparks that are produced by the hammering results in lightening.

That's what our junior teacher taught us at school to calm our nerves during thunder storms. And I still believe it.
