Remembrance Sunday - please stay safe

OneFootInTheGrave Report 8 Nov 2014 15:38

There have been several arrests over recent weeks of individuals suspected of planning to commit acts of terrorism, the most recent being yesterday when four men were detained by counter-terrorism police.

Although the most recent arrests came two days before Remembrance Sunday ceremony at the Cenotaph - Scotland Yard has refused to comment on suggestions that the ceremony at the Cenotaph in Whitehall was the target of any plot.

I really hope and pray, that none of the extremists, who are still free, try to bring havoc on to our streets.

I have no doubt that security in London and at other locations where remembrance ceremonies are taking place, will be very tight, that said, these extremists will stop at nothing to promote their evil cause.

If you are planning on attending any Remembrance Day events - be vigilant, report anything suspicious, and most of all stay safe <3
