OK - this was quite a few years ago, and he knows better now ..............


I once had a pair of black knickers that I was very fond of, but eventually, they got a bit holey. They came from M&S, and OH knew that.
He sneaked them out of the linen basket, and took them in his pocket to M&S in Norwich. After trawling the shelves, he was a bit confused, so he collared a young
lady assistant for help. He got the holey knickers out of his pocket, and asked her if there was anything like them in store.
She managed to keep a straight face, and directed him to an appropriate shelf.
He made his selection, and duly took them home, wrapped them up, and put his thoughtful present under the Christmas tree.
On Christmas morning, I excitedly opened me presents ............

The bloody things were 2 sizes too big, and something your granny would wear!

He's never bought me underwear again,thank gawd!

Lol Jem....he never goes shopping all year...so I know what he's like...tries his best and until she had kids daughter always popped into Chester with him on Christmas Eve for an hour to keep him on track...before him and his mates retreated to the pub!

He just gets me that much stuff that I don't want or need....however last year he bought me a lovely new TV for the bedroom..so he got that right :-D :-D

This is why I'm not keen on surprises.
It's like the surprise party, where everyone pretends they have forgotten.

The person who is to be the surprisee gets very upset, thinks no one loves them, and goes off to do something on their own.

So a surprise party with no guest of honour!
Or one who was so upset, that they are now cross too, cos they have not had their hair done or wearing their party clothes for the pickies :-D :-D
