Nooo Det. I live in Durham and none of my family would strip off at 14. - it's far too cold for even just a t-shirt.

Today it reached 24 but we all kept our clothes on :-D :-D

I've never got used to humidity, and feel sure I wouldn't even if it was 28c for 6 months of the year - nomatter what is 'stated'!
What I would do, however, is adapt my life to avoiding it - only go out early morning/latish at night, and stay indoors!!

Much like I adapted to constant 'daylight' in the Shetlands in the Summer, and very little daylight in the Winter. :-D

Temperatures and humidity are what you get used to! Someone living in Durham would be stripping off to to their T-shirt at 14c whilst a visitor from the south would put on a jumper.

Visit LV and tolerate 40c. Travel on to SF and complain that 28c is cold.
28c in the UK is more uncomfortable because of our humidity + it's never around long enough for us to acclimatise. If we had that for 6 months of the year, then we would.

It is def not hot in Hampshire today or humid, stuff breeze. Could have gone sailing from the Hamble but decided to watch Murray. Massive mistake.

29 degrees and 68% humidity out there at the moment.

(Ignoring rollo's need for one upmanship).

I don't mind the heat but the humidity is unpleasant as Maggie says.

I don't mind the heat - not even bothered by Desert heat, but it's the humidity :-(

The last time it was hot in the UK was during the Permian period many millions of years ago. Calm down and drink more tea.

Hot places I have worked in include Las Vegas 44 C Kuwait City 61 C Baghdad 45C Paris 42 C ..... way to go.
