Panic and Relief

OH had taken a lot of family history stuff from an old system and put it on our current computer but it was scattered around lots of different files and I was struggling to find it, so I decided to spend some time putting it all together where I wanted it. I have been doing it gradually over a couple of weeks and yesterday finished it.

Today I wanted to check something on my Family Historian program, went in and - panic! Everything had gone; all the different trees for my family and OH's, years and years of work. I just felt sick and didn't know what to do. Somehow I have managed to wipe all my trees

When I had calmed down a bit I remembered I have the whole lot backed up on a USB. I checked and everything is on the memory stick. I just have to get it back on the computer.

So folks, the moral is Keep Backing Up, you never know when you will need it . :-D
