Self Employment - Client Numbers

As part of my business plan I have to say month on month how many clients I am hoping to attract. How can I work this out with a online business?

I realise that if it was a shop you count the number of people passing your business in any one hour and equate to 1% sales.

TIA

Assuming it's genealogy based?

You could I suppose set up a website, and see how many hits it gets?

There are free "keyword research" tools online that you can use to find out the rough numbers for people who search "family tree" "genealogy" "how to find my family tree" etc.

Get the "media pack" for the popular family tree magazines, this will tell you both the readership of the print magazine, and also the online readership for the website, It will also tell you more about the demographics of family tree researchers that you can build into the business plan. (average spend, market size etc).
