I would like to know where best to place a question for someone who was adopted in 1969 and would like help and advice on finding their birth mother ?

Try the find living relatives board

Assume the person has got her original birth cert and has got her adoption file for its info

Researching:
Surname Fahse. Germany. Essex .South East London My avatar is one of our wedding photos of 1957

Hi she does have a copy of her original birth certificate but not her adoption file Shirley.
She said she has asked the council for this but they take a long time ? She told me she had not paid anyone to do the research.

This is not something I generally know about so not sure how to advise her.

I have done a little research into two families for her but I have told her that I will not give her wrong information so was awaiting the adoption file and some concrete evidence that I have the correct family.

Yes I that she needs to wait for her adoption file

Did her adopted parents give her any info on her birth parents that may help

Maybe better to repost now on the other board with what is already known
