On Facebook a researcher posted a photo she had bought of an arch over a street. The arch said 1840-1890. She didnt know which part of New Zealand it was in, but studying the photo she was able to read some of the writing on a building on the left: Bakery, and part of a name. She researched bakers looking for the probable name and found it was in Parnell (Auckland). She also found that the shop opposite was of a bootmaker, E Auger, and she could just make out the name on it. |
