A bit late, but Merry Christmas, Barry.

Over here in the West, just south of Perth our day was around 28C. OH and myself went to our Daughter's for the day where we caught up with her partner's parents who have just finished a nine month journey around the astern states of Oz, with plenty of time in Qld.

I hope that you enjoy the rest of your stay in Oz :-D

A Very Merry Christmas to you, too, Ann.
Yes, it's all over bar the shouting at 11.15 PM.
I will be between the sheets very soon.
Your OH is lucky to watch a Carry On film!
Earlier here it was Miss Marple with the Beresfords or Mrs. Brown and her boys!
Such a scintillating choice, I don't think.
Best wishes, Ann ...

Happy Christmas Barry. That confused me, I am thinking. I am sure Barry lives in Canada. Nice to be with family. Must be all over for you now though. We are enjoying a Christmas on our own this year so relatively peaceful. Except OH is watching a Carry on film!

Thank you Fly, for your good wishes.
Seeing Santa in warm climes for the first time is rather difficult to 'take in'.
Like anything, however, folk adapt to their environment ... I am used to low temperatures in December!
I prefer to see snow this time of year ... kinda symbolises Christmas for me, and possibly for others.
Take care.

... A Very Merry Christmas from Gold Coast, Queensland, Oz.
THE day is almost over here in two + hours ... whereas Christmas in the UK has 'just begun'!
My first visit to Oz to see family.
Christmas in a warm climate is certainly different!
What was expected 35°C here today stayed 10 degrees lower ... with steady rainfall early on. This gave way to occasional sun but mostly grey clouds all around have been the order of the day.
Lovely prime beef rib for lunch with mash potatoes and thick gravy. Yummy!
(Also healthy salad stuff!)
Have a lovely day and enjoy time with your family.
A Very Happy New Year to GR Members for 2017.
Season's greetings.
