... personality from Scotland decades ago to help celebrate the imminent New Year.
Today, firework displays have taken over this role.
Some very good displays, too!

I received the text and link below not long after 2017 'arrived'.
Not sure when it occurred but it is likely the most clever presentation of fireworks we shall see.
Well worth the 90 seconds or so to watch it.
Sound not needed ... the music is ghastly!
I think you will enjoy it.
