:-)

Caroline Report 13 Jun 2017 10:45

You missed one though Rollo!!

Caroline

Caroline Report 13 Jun 2017 10:44

Yep even as I typed that last one Rollo deleted the rest of them!

Caroline

Caroline Report 13 Jun 2017 10:41

Have things been deleted from this thread? It's suddenly shorter and Sue in Yorkshire comments now makes no sense on the first page. I'd also quoted from Rollo comments and the originals aren't there now?

Arlene Foster..

Is she a rellie as well,?

I supose in this case Mrs M will have to say.......a bad deal is better than no deal.

Arlenes one big thing against her that people will see is her asking Scotland to refuse Irish citizens who already have a civil partenership refusal to now enter into a formal marriage,,,,,,,which Scotland refused and will allow it......

England &Wales also refuse to do the same.where only a civil parttnership exsists.

"Caroline should drop her impolite tendency to ask personal questions of no relevance.
Thank you."

Also you never explained this statement did you, how was I impolite? What personal questions?

Caroline

Caroline Report 13 Jun 2017 00:00

"Caroline as ever is making large assumptions from scant evidence. I have visited such parts of the c.s. during the course of my work. Close rellies worked in such places for many years."

How so Rollo? What large assumptions am I making and what scant evidence?

You never worked in those offices so the hearsay is from your relatives it seems. You may have visited as you state but no office worth it's salt wouldn't be on their best behaviour for such high ranking visitors at their door, so not a true picture.

But it seems you know best of all from hearsay only at best.

Perhaps someone has to be restrained in their answers due to the OSA.

I know I do ;-)

Edit: My OH still tells everyone he was a tradesman...lololol

I seriously can't believe this:

"Caroline as ever is making large assumptions from scant evidence"

PSHAW!!!
It's only 'scant evidence' as you appear to be talking applesauce.

You deride where I worked, after saying you worked for the Civil Service. As working for the Admiralty is - to you - 'in the sticks',

Then your reference to the Civil Service turns out to be a fictional series.

Edit: Then you just visited the Civil Service.

I'm sure we'd all like to know how this job is (yet again) more important than anyone else's.

Edit: Oh - and my rellies/ancestors worked in the Services for years too - the best Service - the Senior Service :-D :-D :-D
Not sat at a desk pen-pushing!

Conservative Unionist Negotiating Team.....there's an acronym there somewhere. Any suggestions about which of our contributing posters should be part of the team? How long before this post gets RR'd.

"I would thank IGP to stick to the common courtesy of answering for himself and not for others. Heaven knows where he went to school."

Yes, IGP - how dare you expose his edits!! :-D :-D :-D :-D

Rose, nothing wrong with the Beano - but most of us haven't read it for 40+ years and oblique references about characters that weren't in it when most of us were young just go whoosh! over the head :-D :-D :-D

"Caroline should drop her impolite tendency to ask personal questions of no relevance.

How so Rollo? I asked if you'd worked in one of those offices only to see whether you actually knew what happened in those offices at any level or if it was just hearsay. You've confirmed hearsay. Quite how this is impolite is beyond my bear brain.

Rambling

Rambling Report 12 Jun 2017 18:53

Totally off topic :-D :-D

What's wrong with the Beano? ;-)

One of the most erudite teachers I ever met was at his happiest when relaxing in front of the telly laughing like a drain watching Tom & Jerry :-)
