The death certificate should have the maiden name if it was known by the person who registerd the death.

Look for the husBands marriage - it might turn up that way..

It’s old records from the pm sent

The daughter was born c1841 but looks like the birth wasn’t registered!

No birth certificates back then as registering was not a legal requirement.
Parish records would be the best bet for baptism and marriage.

Have you researched any siblings of the known child in case their births were registered?

It seems illogical, I know, but searching for an ancester born early 1840s and her birth certificate not giving clear guidance on her mother's maiden name, I looked at a brother and his certificate was quite clear and showed that I was on the right track.

From my gran she said phoebe was an only child.
She was my grans grand mother she said she was
very beautiful when she was young she looked after
her mother until she had to go to the poor house as Ann
was very sick.
My gran lost her mum Emily Gibbs when she was 21 yrs old.
my gran Lilian Mills helped her father look after Her mum until
she died. So sad.
Thank you all so much in trying to help me.I have sent for Anns
and Williams death certificates to see if anything comes up on there'x
