Pilgrim Father, I think you are in Plymouth, :-)) Karen, mine have been odd facts that have come from my studies. I can't quote a source, but if any one questions any of my clues I would, hopefully, be able to substantiate them. This place is the birth place of Rupert the Bear and was where Thomas Becket was murdered Dee x

OK here's one from my own knowledge. A huge promenade and extensive grassy banks, a statue of a famous man who played bowls quite close before doing his duty, a lighthouse on dry land? - it served it's days on the Eddystone Rock. A view that is the envy of the world - Sound - but there is no noise. Where am I? It was Cheltenham.Gloucestershire. The saline springs which made the town a fashionable watering place were discovered in 1716. It's ladies' college is one of the leading public schools for girls, and the Cheltenham Music Festival has become an annual event. Highlight of the local racing calendar is the Cheltenham Gold Cup, run every March. Karen . Further to your understanding that it should be personal efforts I do always declare the source of my information - whether it be a book or news papers - and even the odd joke that I input.

O.K. Here's another one. Elegant Regency houses grace this inland spa town noted for it's music festival, ladies' college and racecourse. Where are you now?

Yes - Moscow! well done - lovely place. It's a place to see the stars! a capital place, but not in the centre. a large former form of transport nearby, and a chance to play the children's game I-spy! Jacqui
