Hi Buggs Yes, that's exactly what I mean. I'm sure it wasn't Muffy's intention to cause an argument, but because of the way things have been lately, I could foresee it going all badly wrong! I'm sure those from either 'side' will have copied and pasted what they want now, so why not delete! lol

Hello Caz Nice to meet you. I don't think you are the Caz I was thinking about either. Maybe I've imagined her? lol You're right, we've lost a lot of good people on this board. x lesley

Oh well, might aswell have my two pen'orth then! Wasn't around much yesterday, but I did see this thread go up. And my immediate thought was 'that's going to cause trouble'. Not because of who the poster of the thread was, but because in effect it is asking people to take sides. All those that are friends with Muffy were obviously going to name those in their 'group', and all those that don't like her would name everybody but those in the 'group'. I'm sure that in posting this thread it wasn't Muffy's intention to cause an argument, and for that reason Muffy, I respectfully ask you to remove this thread

Mornin all, or should I say afternoon. Had a heavy night last night- not that I'm complaining, lol. When I spotted this thread I thought; Here’s an opportunity to thank ALL of you for lifting my spirits when I am low. Strump in particular, for inviting me in to the Manor and all those on there, HI, what fun I’ve had!! Done my confidence a world of good too. Also, Essex Baz, Caz, Lorraine and others far wittier than me whose jokes have me howling. I’m relatively new to the board and am still sussing out peoples sense of humour and what does or doesn’t offend. So it then upset me to see the nasty comments further on by those who haven’t thought likewise. Come on peeps, life’s too short, and some of you may regret what you’ve said in a day or so. I already miss the fun introduced, to this and the Tips board, by the “experts” who have now left or were thrown off by GR for “stirring it” I don’t want that to happen to any of you……so come on …..let’s have a few laughs instead Sending well intentioned hugs to all who would like to reciprocate Caz

Well if I may have my fourpeneth worth --------------- When I read the title of this thread I thought 'that sounds like a nice thread' and then I read it----Well it would have been a nice thread if people had stuck to the purpose of the thread GR Friends. I cannot understand why people find the need to comment on threads when they clearly do not like the author of the thread. Maybe I'm missing something here but----------If you had a neighbour that you disliked would you go there for a cup of tea and a chat?? I think this 'battle' has gone on for long enough now and the people I feel for are the people looking in who would love to join in on the boards but feel too worried about being caught up in the middle of it all There are some lovely people on these boards on both sides of this argument and I feel proud to be able to 'speak' to them. There are also some lovely people who are trying hard to make the boards nice again. I'm sorry if I offend anyone with my remarks as it is not my intention to.I just felt like being brave and having my say!! Lol I am now back off to my bed as I am not too well at the moment so you will excuse me if I am unable to reply should anyone want me to. Take care everyone and have a nice day C x

I would never tell you to get off a thread you are a full paying member and have a right to your opinion, wether others agree with your opinion is up to them, but i dont agree the thread should be pulled just somes posting that are quite scary, when someone says they are going to keep on till they get answers, well maybe your a strong person like me and will not take it to seriously, some are not as strong, just my opinion mind. Lilx

No Lil Not just the posts that dont belong to your friends, but the ones that DO belong to your friends as well And before you tell me to get off the thread because im spoiling it, just remember who came onto my thread last night which led to it being spoilt after three days of it being peaceful before you posted on it several times followed by others. Ive found some posts on this thread offensive to myself, its my opinion. and im entitled to it I will say no more so dont bother baiting for a reply. Have a great day Elaine x

P,S and i really dont feel people should jusify why they change there comments or postings its there personal choice Lilxx

I admit it, I sometimes get too involved in these threads and cannot let something I really disagree with lie. other threads I steer well clear of. Have to agree with BC, it can get too personal or vicious at times. What really annoys me is when a nice thread turns nasty and the whole thing gets deleted. People that aren't normally involved find themselves in the middle of a battleground.

ButtercupFields Report 18 Nov 2006 11:03

I agree, David. Debate is good, mickey taking is fun, hissy fits are hilarious. BUT going for character assassination and jugular stabbing are just plain nasty and leave a horrible taste in the mouth.

Paul

Paul Report 18 Nov 2006 11:01

I agree with you David, I enjoy mickey-taking, and a little debate, but when someone personalizes it (With something very serious I might add) I can't stand there, and say nothing. Some people on here are Class-A Bullies, but they often cry on about how hard done by they are, and how much they're being bullied. It's those people who annoy me more than others. As for me, i give as good as I get.

Paul

Paul Report 18 Nov 2006 10:56

Side-ways digs are everywhere on these boards. Thing is some admit them, others hide behind victimisation.

Paul

Paul Report 18 Nov 2006 10:52

I think we have a serious problem with people using fake accounts. They obviously aren't brave enough to say what they want with their main account, so have to use a fake one. GR Should clock card numbers, and only allow one account per card. It wouldn't sort them all out, but some of them it would.
