Hi Liz, thanks for your post. Have you still been following the GB Relay thread since she was with you? I thought most on here had forgotten about it, or dont know what it was all about. So many have left GR that have been in the relay. Jenny xx

How lovely to hear about GB - it was good to have her with us in Norwich if only for a short time. Well done, Jenny, and we should all give ourselves a round of applause too, for not losing her or letting her get into too much mischief! Liz

Thank you Lily, for your lovely post. x I do have a Copyright on 'The Gaynor Bear Relay' So nobody can use it. I also posted that I had done so on the GBR website that I started at the start of the Relay. It is my intention to do 'something' I really want to celebrate when the Gaynor Bear Relay is over and she is back with me. Then I can thank every single person that has taken part, or contributed in any way whatsoever. We must also remember all those people that bought the mini GB's and sent extra pounds, to boost the Pink fund and of course at the end of the day CRUK. So lets get the Relay finished and I will then see what support I still have then, as to what celebration we can have. Jenny x

Well, as you can see folks, the Gaynor Bear Relay is nearing its end. Gaynor Bear entered Scotland on 13th August 2006 and will be leaving on the 25th February 2007. Kathy near the Sea, contacted me earlier this afternoon, to tell me she was unable to collect from Sue Hazzard who has had Gaynor Bear since mid December. All Scottish members of the Relay, apart from Christine, have now had the pleasure of meeting Gaynor Bear. Christine and I have been chatting on the phone earlier and have arranged to meet the last weekend in February as posted below. Christine and I will keep you informed over the next three weeks, what GB has been up to. Jenny. x

Hi folks! Kathy has hurt her back and will be unable to participate in the relay. Sue, if okay with you, could we arrange a suitable location and I'll take Gaynor - if weather permits she may yet travel to John O'Groats! I'll be going to Glasgow on 24th/25th February so can hand her back to you then, Jenny. Suppose I'd better read the instructions for my camera! Christine x

Well another week has gone past and still no news from Kathy. 'Kathy in Aberdeen, Kathy near the Sea where are you? Woody , I have read that you may be able to contact Kathy on another website she uses. could you do so for me please? If you could just ask her if she is still able to help or not. If she can, wil she get in touch with me please. If she is unable to help, I am not too sure what to do for the best. I imagine there is a very big distance between Sue and Woody. If this is so, I welcome suggestions please. Sorry to be a pest. Jenny.

I Apologise folks. There is no Jackie lol. We think it is Kathy in Aberdeen who Sue Hazzard has to pass GB onto. Kathy are you still around? If so can you get in touch with me please. Mind you, I think you Scotties have a lot of bad weather at the mo, so I dont expect GB to be going anywhere at the mo. Jenny.

I agree with Polly on that.........leave the west coast out of her final leg of her jpurney........only because the weatehr ehre can be so unpredictable and I don't want GB getting stuck here........leave her final northern stop be with Woody then get her back down the East Coast......then you'll have her back in plenty time for GB to be pampered and spoilt in the run up to her 'big day'!!!!!! All the best to GB and her many followers......it has been lovely following her travels and terrific to have met her.....I still have her special 'Glenfinnan meet' keyring I made for her and I can get that to Woody before GB goes home..........Bye GB!!!!!! RDA.x.

OK folks. I have just heard from Sue Hazzard, She is patiently waiting to see where GB is going to next. Does anyone know who Jackie is please? Christine has also just been in touch and she is still very keen, and would still like to get GB up to John O'Groats if at all possible. I am not too sure GB should go all the way back across to the West Coast. I would then have problems getting her back to the East Coast and down to me. I am open to suggestions. Jenny. x

Thanks for getting back to me Sandra, and thank you for all your help in the Relay. I am so pleased you have made new friends due to it. I have sent a PM to Woody to see what she thinks. I think Jackie? was to have GB from Sue Hazzard. But I am not sure who Jackie is? Someone's Niece I think, who offered to help out. I will let you know whats what, just as soon as I hear from Sue, Sheila, Woody and RDA. Thanks Jenny x

Sorry, just seen this..I'm not on here much and won't be posting after next week..I think it is probably best if she comes straight back to you for a rest before her big day. She has been out this far and seen the sights.. Hope all goes well for her wedding and honeymoon.! It was a pleasure to have been part of the relay and we are all firm friends now..

Further to my last couple of posts. If you are still waiting to have GB, please read them if you have not already done so. I have messaged Sue Hazzard in New Deer asking for her to get in touch with me, as a matter of urgency. I believe Woody is the next person to have GB. she was then due to go back across to the West coast to Polly and RDA. Then back to the East coast so she could enter back into England to me. Could Woody and Polly please get in touch with me and let me know if you are still able to help with the Gaynor Bear Relay. RDA, do you have any concerns about GB covering the last few legs? If there is going to be big problems, would it be better if GB just comes back down via Edinburgh and I will collect her from there? As I mentioned on my previous thread, your Co-ordinator, Dancing Sheila is no longer posting on GR, but has said she will keep in touch with me. Thanks everyone. Jenny xx

RDA and Mrs P, thanks for your posts. I will get back in touch with Sheila and also Woody, to see what is what. Although I think there is one member to have GB before Woody. Woody, is our key person to get her over to the remaining few members, Woody may be very busy at the moment though. I did post a few weeks ago that I need GB back here in Tynemouth at the latest, late Feb/early March. So we will have to get a move on. I am sorry if I seem to be rushing all this but my membership to GR finishes in May and I want to get everything arranged and sorted. I still have GB's 'Wedding' and the two big 'Meet ups' to organise. At the moment I just dont know when GB will be back with me. I see many 'meets' being arranged around the same time. I really must get these last few legs sorted so I can then fit everything into place. Sory to go on etc. But i started this and I want to finish it, so we can all celebrate. Jenny. xx
