The Father loveth the Son,and hath given all things into His hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life, and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3 v 35-36 King James Bible. Gwyn

Verses from week beginning 3rd Sept. Theme: Father SUNDAY: This then is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, may your holy name be honoured; May your Kingdom come; may your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need. Forgive us the wrongs we have done, as we forgive the wrongs that others have done to us. Do not bring us to hard testing but keep us safe from the Evil One. Matthew 6 v 9 - 13 Living Bible MONDAY: I bless the holy name of God with all my heart......... he is like a father to us, tender and sympathetic to those who reverence him. For he knows we are but dust and that our days are few and brief, like grass, like flowers blown by the wind........ Psalm 103 exerpts TUESDAY: All whom my Father has given (entrusted) to me will come to me. And him who comes to me I will most certainly not cast out - I will never, no never, reject one of them who come to me. John 6 v 37 Amplified WEDNESDAY: A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother. Proverbs 10 v 1 RSV SATURDAY: I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper who will stay with you forever. He is the Spirit who reveals the truth about God. The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and help you remember all that I have told you. John 14 v 16, 26 Living Bible __________________________________________

'But the hour is coming , and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 'God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.' John 4 23-24. New King James Bible.

Proverbs 23 v 22 - 25 Listen to your father, without him you would not exist. When your mother is old, show her your appreciation. Truth, wisdom, learning and good sense - these are worth paying for, but too valuable for you to sell. A righteous man's father has good reason to be happy. You can take pride in a wise son. Make your father and mother proud of you; give your mother that happiness. Good News Bible. Blessings for your day, Vonny

In His disciples presence Jesus performed many other miracles which are not written down in this book. But these have been written in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through your faith in Him you may have life. John 20 v 30-31 Good News Bible. Gwyn

The Parable of the Lost Son. There was a man who had two sons, and the younger of them said to his father. 'Father, give me my share of the property now.' A few days later the younger son gathered all that he had and took a journey into a far country. He wasted all his money on parties and prostitutes. Just when his money was gone, a great famine swept over the land, and he began to starve. He persuaded a local farmer to hire him to feed the pigs and he was so hungry that even the pig food looked good, but no one gave him anything to eat. He finally came to his senses and said to himself: 'At home, and even the hired men have enough food. And here I am dying of hunger! I will go home to my father and say: Father, I have sinned against both heaven, and you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Please take me on as a hired servant.' So he returned home to his father. But while he was still a long way away, his father saw him coming, and was filled with pity and ran and embraced him and welcomed him. And his son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against you and I am not worthy of being called your son.' But his father said to the servants, 'Quick! bring the finest robes in the house to put on him and put rings on his fingers and shoes and kill the calf. We must celebrate with a feast for this son of mine was dead, and has returned to life. He was lost, and is now found. Luke 11 - 32

Philip said to Him, 'Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.' Jesus said to him, 'Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say 'Show us the Father.'? Do you not know that I am in the Father and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. John 14, v 8 - 11 New King James version.

Judging Others. Do not judge others, and God will not judge you; Do not condemn others and God will not condemn you: Forgive others and God will forgive you. Give to others and God will give to you, indeed you will receive a full measure, a generous helping, poured into your hands------- all that you can hold. The measure you use for others is the one that God will use for you. Luke 6 v 37-38. Gwyn
