Yes Viv, you have got it/them. Hadnt noticed the 1st and 3rd on my map before. I was thinking of OIO which the old train guards used to call Nought Ten. I am off to town today, wont be back for about 14 hrs. Any time you all feel you have exhausted the Os or are fed up with them feel free to move on to P.

Found three in my little book but I don't know where they are. Oeo-----the place of lice Oio------the place of a spur Oue-----the place of Ue/literally, a species of flax or the moon on the fourth night. Vivienne xx

Thank you all for your sympathy. I shed lots of tears today. Feels lonely with no cat beside me to stroke. Who can name the place beginning O which consists entirely of vowels?

We visited the vet 3 & half hrs ago. No more dog and cat. Their quality of life was very poor due to age. Just eating and sleeping.

Huia, we are in the same predicament re our 14 yo dog. He still likes to get involved, but with severe arthritis and allergies finds hills and car rides a challenge, not to mention the steps to the outside. Anytime in the next few weeks, maybe months. It's hard to make those descisions on their behalf - I really sympathise. I'm enjoying your thread - thanks! Michael

Hi there Huia, Just came in from gardening & read your message. Very sorry to hear about the predicament that your now facing with your pets...really feel for you & know the thoughts & feelings so well myself. Previously I had a little sheltie & tabby cat.. both female. They both had good long lives & could'nt see them suffer anymore...loved them dearly, just like my kids. After some time, found myself the proud owner of a female border collie & 2 male cats...they are wonderful company. Shall be thinking of you, it's ok Huia, we'll understand if your not here, come back to us when you feel up to things.. Yes..Niue is an Island re NZ rule...ok if we move on to the 'O'? Take care, Carol
