There comes a time in the lives of us all When we surely wish we were ten feet tall Unless I can grow to at least that height This weight gain problem I’ll have to fight

Hangover cures must be the thing for all the Aussies who had a fling! I don't envy their heads this morning is everyone issued with a warning? Just why, I wonder, is it called Australia Day? what happened then and why not in May? Kangaroo Day would be more fun leaping about in all that sun

Over here, it's Australia Day we celebrate - no work, all play. Parades and speeches, dance and song barbies and beer the whole day long. Queensland's where I live - it's great it's the lovely North Eastern State. Rainforests, beaches, tropical isles a tourist's heaven for miles and miles. So raise your glasses, let's drink a toast to our Aussie mates from coast to coast.

Great to see you Dorothy G You've added a few lines I see. Have spent the evening watching TV with candles around and cups of coffee. I'm pleased that Bella and Norah are here filling this thread with their good cheer.

Dearie me, two days it's been since a rhyme from me you've seen. Every day, you add a piece I see but I couldn't spare time yesterday For that I'm sorry, so am adding now to all your diligence I bow!
