Morning Everyone, sounds like everyone is getting in the party spirit, snowed here most of the night, I went over to friends house for a meal and drinks, and a game of Mexican Train( a dominoes game) and more drinks, had a lovely night, until I tried to back my van down their driveway and finished up in a big snow bank, luckily got out with a little manovering. Well Hope EVERYONE has a wonderful New Years, and a toast to a Healthy and Happy 2005. nice to see a few words from Dee, hope you are O.K. Bye for now HAPPY NEW YEAR. LOVE MARG

Im here just to lazy to say much, just got back from carpet Bowling, only 5 of us there today, did more visiting and reliving Christmas and New Year and saying how lucky we are to be safe and happy after all the other troubles in the world. even though we have lots of snow and very cold we still all agreed we should quit moaning about things we cant change and enjoy our health and friendships. So theres my sermon for the day now if I can just live up to it. Anyway hope everyone is over all the festivities and we now only have 363 days till we do it all again. Byeeeee Marg.

Good Morning All, Marge glad you are ok and our Jan & Rick. We are a bit thin on the ground, not to worry when things settle perhaps all of our friends will be back. Had mail from our Brenda's daughter this morning, saying her mom's computer has gone sick, but she hope's it will be well in a few days time. S.O.S where are you Jim ????????? I have had some more info re my rellies on my dads side. It seems they came from Somerset way way back and one of them sailed on the vessel (Amazon) in 1863 to the USA. Thing is he had an unknown father so it looks like is mom was a very naughty girl. laughter. John are you still in the shower having a wash to the music ???? LOL. Catch you all later love June.

Hiya - It's That Man Again! June, glad you've found some live rellies 8-)))} I reckon Margaret's a masachist, bowling carpets and counting the days to the next fiasco ;-))))))} "Now here's a thing" - "Brummie Jack-of-All Trades" I am a jolly roving blade. They call me Jack-of all trades. I always fix me chief delights on kissing of the fair maids. To Brummagem I did set out to seek a situation. I'd often heard folks say it was the toyshop of the nation. I'm a roving Jack-of-all-trades, of every trade and all trades, and if you want to know me name they call me Jack-of-all-trades. T-was to the Bull Ring first I went. I there became a porter. I with me master did fall out, which cut it quaint and shorter. In Bull Street was a Pastry Cook, Dale End an Undertaker. I then removed to Friday Street and set up Coffin Maker. I'm a roving Jack-of-all-trades............. In Finbold Street I sold rag mops. In Bread Street was a grinder. In Dudley Street I lost me wife. Thank God I never could find her! In Hill Street I sold black puddings. In Edmund Street sold mousetraps. At the Old Wharf I did sell coal. At Suffolk Street made louse traps. I'm a roving Jack-of-all-trades............. In Digbeth was a Waterman, St Martin's Lane a Saddler. In Rams Yard was a Slaughterman. In Park Street a Fiddler. In Spisal Street sold hot puddings. In Friday Brid sold charcoal. In Phillip Street sold blacking paste. In High Street kept a louse hole. I'm a roving Jack-of-all-trades......... In Smallbrook Street made candlesticks. In Worcester Street, a Broker. In Floodgate Street made fire irons, both shovel, tongues and poker. In Ham Street was a Dialist. Newhall Street a Die Sinker. In New Street drove a Hackney coach, in Moor Street was a Printer. I'm a roving Jack-of-all-trades.......... In Walmer Lane steel trusses made. In Lichfield Street a sad shop. In Steelhouse Lane made snuffers, and in Bell Street kept a rag shop. In Church Street was a Silver Smith. In Livery Street made splitering. In Charles Street was a clock maker, and all such little odd things. I'm a roving Jack-of-all-trades......... In Bread Street I made spectacles. In Sand Street, an Engraver. In Weyman Street a Gunsmith. In Newton Street a failure. In Snow Hill was a Porn Broker. In Shadwell Street a Sawyer. In Bromsgrove Street made coffin pins. In Cannon Street a Lawyer. I'm a roving Jack-of-all-trades.......... In Wood Street I made sand paper. In Buck Street I sold prayer books. In Duddeston I made pattern cards. In Doe Street I sold fishhooks. In Ashted I made Jews harp springs. I Thomas Street, made all blades. So now you know the ups and downs of a Brummie Jack-of-all-trades. That is another Anon (probably a Brummie) thing, for which I claim no credit - except for the forever it took to type it in. 8-))))} Tarrarabit - Johnxxxxxxx PS - I hope that Jim and Mary are mending well!

Poor June thinking she was alone, never that June and I meant to tell you. X Well done John, I really enjoyed the tour of the Streets and occupations. I think you should take the credit for writing it up her. Great Patience needed for that. Thoroughly enjoyed it and I have saved it for my Mum who I know will enjoy it. Goodnight Pat x
