Evening Everyone, Lovely sunny day all day today, had to go out early this morning to get our Canadian flag lowered to half staff at our Community Hall , four R.C.M.P. (Mounties) where killed by a mad man in a very small town in Alberta and they had a huge Memorial service for them today .Really sad, one of the young men had only been a Mountie for two weeks. John your fingure must have been worn to the bone with all that typing, but well worth the read, I printed it off and shared it around. Faith, cant see anything from Mount St Helens yet, seems to be settling down again. Pam you really had a tough weekend, hope Isabelle is well and happy once again. As for getting on Genes, I have the Brummie Site as my Home Page, so when I click on the Internet I go straight to you guys, very rare that I dont get straight on, BUT that could also be something to do with the time I am on. Well must go. take care everyone. Marg

Still no reply from GT it takes ages to get onto the thread., you feel like bashing it with a hammer. LOL. Brenda, Did not get on MSN this morning as we had to go out and do the shopping, nothing of interest to buy just food what a pain. Now our Jan & Rick, Come on tell us any new news about your big day, we all want to no what colour wellies and things to wear as we dont want to clash with the bride and groom. Gor blimey John, I'm out of breath just reading that. Just because you have Broadband you don't have to go mad. Well done my Friend.!! Idon't think I mentioned that I am on a Panel called Tenant Partiscipation, this is in conjunction with the borough council and we have meetings with the various sections of the housing departments to keep them on the straight and narrow. Well I have been to one to-day that is why I am a bit late coming on the thread. Also it is quite an involved business and I feel washed out after arguing the point with our officials. So excuse me while I go to my dark corner to recouperate. So llol from Argumentative Jim and Sober Mary C. See you all to-morrow all being well.

Hi - It's that man again! This broadband is magic, like greased lightening 'til I ask for the Brummie thread, although it does have to bring up 556 replies and that aint no mean task! lol Glad Mary's better jim (you'll have to reduce the dose a little). If your cooking is anything like mine she should have a cast iron constitution by now ;-))))} Nice to see you back again Brenda LOL. Is my memory going again, I can't remember seeing anything from the 'small but beautifully marked' one today - or have I beaten her to it? Here's something to think about..................... If we could shrink the earths population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all the existing human ratios remaining the same, it would look something like the following: There would be: 57 Asians 21 Europeans 14 from the Western side of both north and south Hemispheres' 8 Africans 52 would be female 48 would be male 70 would be non-white 30 would be white 70 would be non-Christian 30 would be Christian 89 would be heterosexual 11 would be homosexual 6 people would possess 59% of the entire worlds wealth, and all 6 would be from the USA 80 would be living in substandard housing 70 would be unable to read 50 would suffer from malnutrition 1 would be near death; 1 would be near birth 1 (yes, only 1) would have a college education 1 would own a computer When one considers our world from such a compressed perspective, the need for acceptance, understanding and education becomes galaringly apparent. The following is also something to ponder.... If you woke up this morning with more health than illness... you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the lonelinessof imprisonment, the agony of torture, the pangs of starvation. You are ahead of 500 million people in the world. If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassement, arrest, torture or death.....you are more blessed than three billion people in the world. If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep...you are richer than 75% of this world. If your parents are still alive and still married....you are very rare, even in the US and Canada. If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you, and furthermore, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all. Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like no-one's watching. Sing like no-one's listening. Live like it's heaven on earth. Tarrarabit - John xxxxxxxxxx

Jan and Brenda thankyou for your concern but Mary is fine again now. Bit of a tummy bug, or my cooking not sure which. I only use a bit of arsenic. June thank you for your e mail like you I am still waiting for a reply from the admin people. Broke all records to-day took just 4 minutes to get to the thread. I have just bought myself a new keyboard as I had worn out all the letters out on the old one. This new contraption does evrything but cook and wash up. So if there are any mistakes blame it on the board not me, they provided a video with it and I am still in the dark. Have to be careful which knob I touch. That brings back memories!!!! Cor luv a duck it's that time again cuppa for Mary. ttfnLLol from Kettle on Jim and Thisty mary C.

Sory to be missing for a day or two but I am still waiting to hear from the experts as to why I am still having trouble losing messages. It is so frustrating wearing my typing finger down to the bone to lose it all when I press add message. Mary is having a bit of an off day to-day so I have only just managed to get in my den to send any words. So sorry I will have to cut this short. TTFN LLOL from Jim and Mary C.

Hello June Will sort the computor out soon. I was just telling them on the ausie thread what a horrible long weekend I have had. Firstly little Isabella age 18 months was rushed into the childrens hospital she had a virus. The doctor said they could not give any antibiotics. Two days she could not walk the doctors thought it had got into her bones or blood stream. She was so sick, after bloods tests and xrays the bone specialist said it was an irritated hip from the virus. Very lucky it had not got into the bones or blood. Isabella seems alot chirpy now, she is at home. Yesterday I had a flat tyre in the car port. Later on I went to my daughters to see Isabella and then on to bridge. About 6.20pm a car went throught the side fence over bushes and trees up a small retaining wall and hit the house. It caught two rooms the study and a bedroom quite a bit of mess. My sons friend was staying in the bedroom luckily it was that time if it was later he would have been in bed and goodness knows what might have happened. I had to take today off and sort out the insurance the hole in the house has been made secure and fence tempory repair. God knows how long it will take soon I hope. Certainly remember this weekend for sure especially little Isabella. By the way it was a four wheel drive and the husband was giving his wife driving lessons, pity he did not show her the brake!!! Kindest regards to all from Australia Pam

Hi Everyone, Just got home from Calgary, had a nice visit with my kids, forgot that it was Mothers Day in England ours isnt until May, so hope all you Moms had a lovely day.had a nice visit with my youngest son, they have a horse riding areana so his wife was busy giving lessons so Peter and I had a lovely one on one visit, only sad thing was he has to make a decision this week about one of his dalmation dogs she is over 12 he is having to carry her as she is having trouble walking, his vet asked him to give her two weeks to see if she would get the stranghth back in her legs, the two weeks are up today and no improvement so now he has to decide . so know that will be tough. Had a visit to the Cassino and yes donated , won a little then gave it all back plussome. I know a fool and her money are soon parted. So will say goodnight from the fool Marg.

Hiya - It's that man again! June you can't expect me so early in the day. I know I'm on broadband now, but I do have other things - like Tai Chi etc. I must also - on Monday nights - get my fix of ER ;-)))} Sorry Jan didn't get her snow man, but I have known it to snow in May so with a bit of luck she may get him yet lol. I'm not enjoying Tai Chi so much these days, it's my hips 10th birthday this year and it doesn't like exercise! I've got an 83 year old friend who's just (5 weeks ago) had a second replacement hip and he walked into Tai Chi today almost without a limp :-((((((} Thinks - I must cut my fingernails, they don't half hurt on these keys. Where's Jim? I hope he and Mary aren't suffering again! It can't be long now to spring, those bloody birds sitting in the gigantic Christmas tree outside are pebble dashing my car again - I'll give it cooooooooo-cooooooo if I catch it!
