I heave received several emails asking for information about people in my family tree and always reply straight away. Yet out of all the emails I have sent asking for further information I have only ever had one reply. I find this most annoying. Either the email sytem is not working or people are to lazy to reply. Hello George, I am in the same boat, I have seen people asking about the Harbon family and I write back to them and give details, and ask if there could be a connection. Not even a reply saying Yes or NO. Bad manners. Bye now June. |

George, I have only been doing the family tree 4 months and when I first joined I emailed a person who I thought could help me. After waiting 3 months without a reply I deleted him. Then out of the blue I got a reply and he apologised for not replying earlier as he had been abroard for 4 months and had only just got back, There must be many reasons why people dont reply and I put it down to reasons other than rudeness. I think many people come here and then lose interest and stop doing their family tree, I know of a couple... I myself will be away from Sydney for 2 months home for 1 month and then away for 2more months. so my life is away in the summer and home in the winter doing my family tree.I find the magority of people on this site are fantastic and will help everyway they can. I have been amazed at their kindness and a nicer bunch would be hard to find. Consentrate on the good things and you will find a lot of help. Mary in Sydney |

Hi George, I think a lot more of these type of problems have occured, since GR changed the e-mail procedure. Anyone who is not now a full member can't reply to you through GR to an old message, and now they don't get your personal e-mail address to reply to either. Debbie |
