Hi Susie I only came upon them because I am getting frustrated trying to find my Norris bunch. I misread the 1861 Census to read Sarah Norris. Some kind person did an 1851 lookup for me and said that they couldn't find a Sarah Norris, but that there was a Leah Norris, married to an Emmanuel Norris - he was born in Turville, she was born in Ibstone. On looking at the curly writing again it does look like she was a Leah. I only came across William Norris marrying Sarah Hathaway because the date of 1848 could have and still could be feasible. I get so tied up in knots doing this don't you? Regards Sarah on her own puter.

Hi Susie Still on hubby's puter then!!! I don't know to be honest Susie. I have a Jesse Norris as the only son born in 1852 in Ibstone. He was my G.Grandmother, Sarah's elder brother. Jesse, Sarah and my G>Grandfather Caleb Bird from 'Stokie' all moved down to Sunbury-on-Thames, Middx in approx 1874/5/. Jesse married a Sunbury girl in 1875. Caleb and Sarah married in 1876. Regards Sarah.

Hi Susie Are you still on hubby's computer? I've done quite a bit of housework and been out for a few bits of food. How long have you been researching? I tentatively started about five years ago. I was quite thrilled when 'Stokie' and Ibstone appeared on the 1901 Census stating my G. Grandparents were from the area. My dear dad always said 'no' we're Sunbury born and bred. Anyway, speak soon hopefully Regards Sarah

hi sarah yes,im still on hubbys puter:( ive only been doing my tree since last year.ive been helping hubby with his for 10 years!! like your dad,my dad thought that his family were born and bred in booker,so i thought id do a bit of detective work. the keep family arrived in aylesbury in 1760 and that is where they stayed until my g.grandad moved to buckland common in chesham in the 1880s.they then arrived in booker in 1900.my gramp was 2yrs old then. dad was shocked to say the least...lol best get dinner cooked now cos hubby will be home at 5.praps he can then have a look at my puter:(( susie on hubbys puter

Susie, saw you on the members board last night (before I was very rudely thrown off!) and you mentioned bacon badger. Haven't had that for years - will now put it on the menu for next week. Wish I could cook it like my mum did!
