Hello Len I've been quite busy. My little boy is on half term now. Have you ever taken any photos of the bluebell woods at Ibstone? They will probably be looking stunning in the next few weeks. Perhaps I will pay a visit soon.... Kind Regards Sarah.

Len of the Chilterns Report 16 Feb 2004 23:24

Hello Sarah My great grandmother was a Sarah. A very elusive lady and a bit of a brick wall to me. Yes and no. I have photographed the bluebells in Fingest which is not very far from Ibstone. Very difficut to photograph as the blue rarely comes out well, especially in sunshine - something to do with the ultra violet reflecting off them. Did quite well in the competition tonight. Got 3 prints marked 17,18 and 19 out of a possible 20. One of these was a close-up of a thrush. Cheers len

Hello Sarah Wasn't it cold today. Still, it kept all the brass monkeys off the streets. Where is Susie - has she abandoned us ? Come in Susie, your time is up. Len

Hello Len Yes, it is freezing out there! I think Susie has probably done the sensible thing and possibly gone off to warmer climes!!! Take care Sarah.XX

Hi Sarah That is an interesting surname you have here. What is its derivation ? My own is is from the Celtic, an Anglicised "apRhys" meaning son of Rhys. Rhys probably meant a clerk or scribe. Len

Hello and good morning Susie Yes, it's quite cold here too! We had a spattering of fine hailstones overnight. Hello Len!! My Birds seem to go back quite a long way in your area - Booker, Stokie etc. Cuenca is translatable. It means 'riverbasin'. So I suppose that makes me 'Sarah Riverbasin'!!! Lovely!!! lol!! Apparently, Cuenca is a pretty little town in Northern Spain. Hello Steve! I only discovered my Birds were from Stokie and Booker when I found them on the 1901 census. I always thought they were, and had always been from Sunbury-upon-Thames. Life is full of surprises eh? I now regularly visit the area. Regards to you all! Sarah.X
