Thank you all so much for the lovely cards that have been dropping onto the mat over the last few days. I've been very good and not opened them until today! It always amazes me how they are all so different, and I've got some new ideas myself now!

Thank you again, love to you all,
Mandy xx

Happy birthday Mandy, hope you got the card, I sent it early because of hospital.

Oh JoJo what a pain, I would not have expected that in a new computer either. what make is it? Have you not put your photos on a disc or anything? A lesson to all of us here.

I assume that means you have lost all your B girls info? have you got a printout of the list? If you want one let me know and I will send a paper copy to you.

Morning girls,

Oh Jojo what a shame about your laptop.Ours has conked out too, but it's only the connection, just finding the time to go and get a new one, at least we still have the old desktop.
Hope you get it sorted soon.

Daughter is signing the contract for her new apartment today, so we will be ferrying her suitcases & boxes for her.Love the girl to bits but I will be so pleased to get into her hovel of a bedroom and clear it out :))

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and special 'Mums' days tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Mandy xx

Evening ladies, sorry I have not been around, my laptop decided to pack in completely it is only 18 months old!! Will need to be completely rebuilt including a new board. I have lost everything that was on it. Now I have some things backed up but I have a small problem as my back up is online and my password and log in details for the online place is on my laptop. Now I know that was silly of me, but as it was so new just never dreamt that it would burn out. The data needs a specialist company to remove it. The charge will start at £250 just to retrieve the data! Is what I had on it worth that much? Certainly my grandchildren’s photos are irreplaceable, have to now decide what to do. Computer will be repaired for middle of next week so will not be around much. If you need me email me as daughter is picking them up for me.
Take care hope to be back soon

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANDY

Hi all,
Like Jill, I'm also far ahead with card making now - even got some Xmas cards ready for next Xmas and the Birthday Girls birthdays up to next August. Yes, I don't mind being ahead as that gives me time for other things when necessary.
Jill, I thought you were so sociable, and now I hear you don't want strangers looking into your garden. You might even have had a few who would pitch their tent if they were given the opportunity. When we used to spend our winters in Spain we had some woods near us and there would regularly be one or two couples turn up late at late with a rucksack and spend the night in the woods.
Still lovely dry weather.

Hi hope everyone is ok.

This message is for atc swaps, if anyone would like to join in the
monthly swap please leave a message on relevant forums (I do check
them all) or email me.Thanks.

As some of us are in front, I thought I would try this idea.Giving
you the next 3 months titles and see how you get on.If it doesn't
work I will go back to monthly titles.Don't feel you have to do this
if you don't want to.I will keep everyone posted. Now for the themes -

We already have March's theme (to me by 15th please, with s.a.e &
postage, no postage, no swap)

APRIL - 'WEATHER' (as in rain, snow etc)

MAY - 'TRAVEL' (create a theme e.g. traintravel, countries or use
items from your travels, tickets etc)

JUNE - 'SPORTS' (anything relating to sport/sports)

If you are speedy at doing your atc's and want to post them to me all
together, thats fine, or do them monthly, thats fine too.
Six atc's the same or similar, please.

I hope everyone is enjoying the swaps, if you have any title ideas
please let me know.Thanks.

Good morning to you all and glad to see that you are home now xx

Up early today as going to the Notaire to sign and pay for a bit of land that juts in between the cottage garden and our top paddock. The land is no use to anyone as unable to build on it but we have always been worried that she would sell to someone that would make a garden and allotment of it and use it in the summer.Thats the trouble of living like us surrounded by your own fields, you don't want neighbours :))))
Don't know what we will do with it as its higher than the cottage garden but might clear and put steps up to it so that the paying guests can use it. We have our own garden and don't need it for our own use.
Hope to craft this afternoon ,perhaps I should start Aprils ATCs as I am so far ahead:)))))

Have a good day

xx Jill

Afternoon everyone, Ann nice to see you back home, hope it all starts to feel better soon.

Sue pleased to hear the wedding went well, I was wondering about it. What a lovely idea to have it in a tram something different.
Yes we felt the earthquake here, shook the house and a piece of glassware fell off a shelf!! Obviously left it too near the edge.

What wonderful weather. It was so warm here today, even though there was a breeze about. Johan and I went with the taxi and my scootmobile into 'town' and I bought myself 4 different tricot shirt tops for Spring.
I went to look at the handicraft stall on the market and as usual got carried away. I'll have to ask Johan to move soon!!!!!
How are you today Ann?
See you tomorrow

((((( : King Cole : ))))) Report 27 Feb 2008 12:47

Hi everybody!
I don't get on here very often, but you are all in my thoughts. Having read the last few posts, it seems some of you have been unwell. I do hope you are feeling better very soon. I think what we need is a really cold spell to kill all the nasty little germs that are going round.
Well - I've been to Vienna and my daughter got married in a tram as arranged and it was wonderful. Have never been to Vienna before and it is an astounding city. Very clean and very quiet. No yobs hanging around anywhere and the people were so friendly. We had a wonderful time and I am now waiting for a CD of all the photos that were taken so that I can make my daughter a memory album of it all.
The weather here is sunny with a slight wind. There are dark clouds looming over, so it looks like it might rain. I have heard whispers of an earthquake overnight? anyone know about that? I'm such a deep sleeper, I didn't even hear the storm of '87 - and part of an oak tree came crashing down in our garden! So I definately didn't hear any bad weather last night.

I have taken the final decision - I am not going to work anymore. For the last few years I have been doing supply teaching, but have now decided that my life is different and working doesn't fit into my scheme of things. I still do a bit of private tuition, but that's as far as I'm prepared to take it now.
So - I'm a lady of leisure! More time for crafting - yippee!!!!!
Take care everyone. I might not get on here all that often, but you are constantly in my thoughts.
Love to all
Sue

Thinking of Ann and wondering how she is feeling. I'm sure she'll have that lovely feeling of "ah, it's all over now". Now, every day you will feel a bit better Ann, and listen to what your body tells you. If you are tired then just go to sleep, it's obvious that you need it.
Jill, what a silly billy getting your ATCs mixed up. I could have done that myself!!!!!!!!!!!!
This morning we had a shower of rain - yesterday was a perfect Spring, sunny day, but now the weather is sunny again. If it is nice tomorrow Johan and I are going into town and I will have a look at the large craft stall there. Who said "no more buying crafts for a while". Yes, I know I did, but just this once please!
Have a nice evening girls.

Oh Jill what a shame, nevermind, are you joining in the 'Spring' swap? perhaps you could alter the Feb atc's to fit.

Feeling a lot better today, thank you, going to meet up with craft buddies so won't be around later.

Have a good day everyone.

Hi all,
Hope Heather is better and anybody else I have passed my bug on to. I get so annoyed when I am "under the weather" as I cannot do all the things I want to. I can count on one hand the number of days I have ever stayed in bed, even after having my third child I was up and around a few hours later.
Looking forward to receiving our next command for ATCs. I am well ahead with making birthday cards.
