Julie Report 5 Feb 2008 16:14

Afternoon Liz, Dave, Ann, Caz, Ann & Carolina....
Hello to Kerry n Rosy too...don't think I've had the pleasure....welcome.

Having another good day today....so far. Been busy at work n out to parents evening soon, then off for a workout before having someone call to give us a quote for a conservatory n porch....so busy busy busy...!!

Kerry....I gave up smoking in October after smoking since I was 16, with a few years off inbetween. I often think 'gawd I could kill a fag' but I know 1 would lead to being a smoker again. I have trouble staying asleep too...it's all part of the depression n anxiety...too much going round in our heads.

Ann....We've just had a new Memory Foam Mattress, it's soooooo much better than the one we had, I look forward to getting in now.....just a shame I have to get back out in the morning. Tis an 8" luxury gold, n cost £289 with 2 free pillows...quite cheap I thought.

Anyway..hope you all have a pleasent evening.

Kerry, I have that problem too. I had a 'happy place' in my head to visit when I went to bed, worked really well untiI told my husband about it in detail, and now it doesnt seem to work. I knew I should have kept it secret! But I'd advise it.

Good evening girls and a special welcome to Kerry, nice to have you on board lass.

Kerry, it was only after reading through the postings on this thread a few times that I realised I had a lot in common with the lads and lassies here.

The first time I posted I was inspired by another member who had just written about her experiences of helping a lonely gentleman, it made humble reading.

The power of healing flows not only from the mind but from the pen also, you may have already discovered this for youself.

If you would like to add to this board, be our guest.

Subjects range from;

Pains, pills, palpatations , potions...
Hurts, harms, hernias, herbs..
Fears, frenzies, foreign objects, facts..
Loathes,lotions, liver, lethargy..
Sleep, Spasms, Sweats, Salts..

together with.

Humour, understanding, loving and caring for each other.

I already have an idea for my next posting but will keep you all in suspense for just a day longer..

In the meantime I wish you all a pleasant evening..

Bye for now and love,

JoyceP xxxx

Evening all. Nice to see some new faces. I'm sorry I had a crap day today, so can't come up with good words for you all. I had a huge argument with my supervisor and then the other one joined in. My collegues scuttled away! I was so angry but managed not to cry. They are lazy, and I more or less told them!! My head is spinning tonight. Then after the row I had to travel home in a car with one of the supervisors and two others. Conversation was a bit thin. I'll pm new people soon and hope to get to know you all a bit
Love Carole xx I could do with a few hugs :o(

Carole... am sending you lots of hugs, together with congratulations for standing up for your rights.
There is nothing worse than being bullied, especially if it involves more than one person having a go at you.

It is a true fact that bullies are insecure and always put the blame on someone else... in this instance you.

I might be 'aged'.. lol... but if you need someone in your corner I will meet up with you at your work place and knock a few heads together.

If it's any consolation I had to work in a male orientated domain, luckily I was senior to them which did not help really because they tried to catch me out at every turn..... quite a few of these b........were demoted for being lazy, incompetent and for having bullying tendencies......

Just you stay strong and you will win the day....

Hope you are sitting down with something nice to eat and drink, wrapped up nice and cosy and a littled bit settled in your mind.

Can you hear the cheers echoing around the board for you, just listen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sleep tight,

JoyceP xxxxx

Good evening Justice of peace.,
Im really trying to believe that the power of healing comes from within but at times find it difficult when i feel so bad..Am going to stick with the vitamins and pills from health shop and had a massage last wk (my first one ever) and it was so relaxing and got all the toxins flowing am also tempted to try Hypnotherapy but its a bit pricey and want to see if i can combat this blip im having myself.Has anyone had anxiety and totally got over it?..
Romany Star i also have a "happy place" to go when im trying to go back to sleep but for some reason last night it wasnt working..Think i got too worked up..Had major hot sweats last night aslo maybe that didnt help..

AnnCardiff Report 5 Feb 2008 20:57

could just be a virus of sorts? could also be high cholesterol - these are just wild guesses of course, perhaps next week when you go back to have your bp done again GP might throw some light on it.

Carole Report 5 Feb 2008 22:10

Hi just catching up before I go to bed. Thanks Ann Dave and Joyce for your hugs, and thoughts. I'm sure it'll start again tomorrow, wish I wasn't working now! It wasn't even me who started the row, someone else did, and the supervisor kept saying whats up, what is it, what did Doreen mean? So I stood up and said I'll tell you and did I tell her!! No one else would have! They all talk behine the supervisors back they needed telling to their face. Didn't know it had to be me to tell them! I'm not normally so outspoken.

So Kerry and Elaine,
Come on in and sit down, you have been reading us all telling some very sad stories in some cases. It's nice to see you join in. Hope we can help you relax and let you know we will try to be here for you. Healing will come from within but not over night. Take life day at a time. Don't expect to do everything and feel you are failing, but set targets you hope to reach to. You might feel like you have a virus, brain tumor, flu, carbon monoxide poisoning, having a heart attack, ect....... you might be ill but it's not going to kill you!! The symptoms might be in your head but they feel real and you might hurt or feel sick. I recommend a book by Clair Weeks about panic attack it helped me after reading it years ago. Also a web site my psychologist told me to try might be helpfil to you, google "moodgym" it's free but you need to register.
I'm off to bed now will try to pop in in the morning. Love to you all Carole xx
