What's your favourite film?
I like Sleepy Hollow with Johnny Depp & Christina Ricci. It's nothing like the original story by Washington Irving. Which is probably not a bad thing. ;-) The film contains some dark humour, which I like. And I think Tim Burton & Johnny Depp work well together. And, of course, the film has Christina Ricci in it ;-) :-)

We had not been to the cinema for many many years until last year. Since then we have been four times. I enjoyed Les Miserables but preferred the stage show. A Song for Marian was very good, Philomena was excellent and Saving Mr Banks was good too.

I did enjoy Mama Mia

I don't think I really have a favourite film though. I'd probably have to go back to films like Sleepless in seattle, Officer and a Gentleman and others in that era.

I'd forgotten about Labrynth. That was the film with David Bowie wasn't it?
I haven't seen those other 2 films. I'll have to look out for those ;-)

Most of my favourites are older films, though I love The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I agree with AnnCardiff on Some Like It Hot, Singing In The Rain, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Les Mis, and I'd also add Calamity Jane.

But my all time favourite film is The Lion In Winter. Saw it in the '60s and saw it again recently and still loved it.
