Looking for details of twin brother, both adopted at birth to different families.

Person looking for twin is Jean Stacey in Watford area, born in 1941. Her twin brother was John at birth, but expect name may have been changed. Can anyone help is finding him or giving information on where we might look further.

This was posted on behalf of David Stanley (husband of Jean, now Doreen) by Phil Moir (Genes Reunited) at WDYTYA show.

There is a tree on Ancestry that has one listed as birth 1941 Watford and death 2009. He has a sister marked as private and father is listed as Leslie Stacey and Alice Warner,

The thing that concerns me is that mothers maiden name is listed as Stacey on the birth record and on this tree it is the father who is Stacey. Have you seen your own birth certificate?

Jean

If you haven't already done so, add your details to the national adoption contact register. Google for the web link

The best thing to do is to get Jean to contact Watford SS they should be able to find which agency was used , then she can contact then to see if they could assist her with this search.
It may be that he has been in touch to view his records if not she can ask can she leave a letter with his file.
She should also put her name and her brothers in her tree, so should he know of his birth name and joins this site he can find her entry and e.mail her.
There are also several sites where she can leave messages on should she wish this, that way if he does a search on the internet he can find her message.
