I am trying to trace any information or relatives of an Eileen Jones who had a baby girl named Clare Jones born on 30th July 1977. Eileen was about 16years old at the time & was living with her mother father & younger sister in Salford England. Clare was adopted soon after her birth & has had a good life but she would like to trace any members of her birth family. If anyone can help in anyway please we would be very grateful.

Hi Shirley.
Firstly, has Clare put her name on the National Adoption Register? She needs to do this in case her family ever try to trace her.
Has she contacted NORCAP for advice?

You might try putting any names you have into the 'search trees' box above, just in case there are any matches.

Do you have Eileen's parents' names by any chance? (PM me, don't put on here). There is one possible birth in Salford which matches for Eileen.

Please advise 'Clare' not to try to make direct contact, even if she is given info.

The mother may have a family now, who are not aware of what happened when she was a teenager.

The register mentioned above is definitely the best way forward
