Could be she was already married. There's a marriage for a Heather A Walsom to a Baker in the 70s in Leicester.

She looks to have several memberships on here.

And!
You could try a search for a Heather A. Smith in Leicester on 192.com. If you aren't aware, this is a pay-per-view site, so you won't get address or phone number without credits. But it does show other occupants in the same household. If the other occupant has the same name as the person she married, it might well be her. At least her first name isn't too common!

I can see the marriage you mean, hence name Smith in your heading.
You have several things you can do.
Firstly look for matches for Heather in other members' trees - use search box above.
Look for births to the marriage and follow up on these.
Get the marriage cert - as so soon after your Aunt's death with luck the address will be the same, if this is the same Heather.
And you could check electoral register for that address and see who else is living there - this needs to be done in person, or by a member of staff. Registers are normally kept at the nearest main library.

I am looking for further information/or if anyone knows the whereabouts of the above named person, Heather Ann Baker.

She appears as the informant on the death certificate of the late Doris Palmer (my mothers aunt). They worked together as hotel kitchen assistants (address on the certificate is Lower Hastings Street, Leicester.

The other address on the death certificate shows Heather's address (as informant) as 30 New Walk, Leicester.

Date of death on the certificate is the 21 January 1975.

Would be most grateful if anyone can help? Kind Regards Rachel
